Specialist Window Cleaning for the British Film Institute
J.V. Price Limited are pleased to announce a new a major contract secured with the
British Film Institute providing specialist window cleaning for their buildings;
three in central London and one in Hertfordshire.
J.V. Price were first requested to carry out a deep clean to the new BFI South bank
building for its grand opening on the 14th March 07. All the new areas of the BFI
South bank required specialist cleaning after a year of major building works. Due
to last minute building works adjustments, J V Price staff worked round the clock
to ensure everything was completed to the client's satisfaction just hours before
the big launch. It was tight, but the work went off with out a hitch - as we left
through the back door, the 'celebs' were coming in the front!
BFI were so pleased with the quality of the work carried out they asked us to put
together a year round schedule of their window cleaning of requirements to all their
sites. This includes the impressive IMAX cinema in Waterloo, London and the John
Paul Getty Centre in Hertfordshire, which specializes in the restoration and archival
of old films.
At the IMAX, J.V. Price's operatives have to carry out the window cleaning to a
massive fish bowl like structure from specialist cradles and at BFI's head office
in Stephen Street, London window cleaning has to be carried out from one of J.V.
Price Ltd's access platforms as there is no other means of reaching the windows.
J.V. Price's use of access platforms has proved cost effective to BFI and many other
clients. It has alleviated the need to use and maintain costly cradle systems recommended
by other cleaning companies.
