The Price group were called in by Chiltern Railway
After much planning and consultation with the Price Group and Chiltern railway we
were able to put into effect a complete restoration package that began with an extensive
clean of a large glass canopy over looking one of there Main line stations.
We over came many issues as you would expect from a job of this nature. The main
area of concern was the logistical issues regarding Health and safety as the station
was continually being used.
As the price group strive to continually improve and develop all aspects of Health
and Safety it was paramount that we covered all these areas to the letter. We found
that we achieved this to a very high standard indeed.
There were of course other issues such as the badly stained glass from 14 years
of neglect which needed scrapping and pressure washing in the very worse areas.
We are currently in talks with the Railway on a complete restoration project using
a wide range of methods to restore the glass to its former glory.
The presence of our hydraulic platforms yet again created a bit of a stir with many
onlookers taking the occasional snap or two. However, this also had the desired
effect as it also brought the attention of other businesses in the area.
The new look station was amazing as the light passed through the canopy and completely
transformed the station giving it a much warmer and brighter feel.
