FIRST AID HAS IMPACT FOR J V PRICE
J V Price, one of the UK's leading and most successful Independent High Level Window
Cleaning Contractors, has put ten members of staff through refresher training with
the IMPACT43 Group.
IMPACT's First Aid Training Course - which is fully HSE Approved - has been designed
to comply with The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations of 1981. These regulations
require employers to identify the requirements for first aid within their workplaces,
and to provide, where appropriate, fully qualified first aiders.
The course covers First Aid Management for harness suspension situations when working
at height. There is a particular emphasis on the vitally important aspect of Suspension
Trauma Recovery.
Charlie Price, Managing Director of JVP, said: "It's imperative that detailed emergency
plans and effective rescue procedures are in place, including First Aid response
and treatment. Companies need to be aware that it is not acceptable practice just
to rely on the public emergency services."
When selecting a suitable course supplier, J V Price quickly saw the benefits offered
by IMPACT.
"I attended the course and was very pleased with the delivery from start to finish,"
said Craig Deamer, Health and Safety Manager for JVP. "Recent research indicates
that 95% of first aiders would be more confident in their working life if they completed
first aid training. They also felt that having first aid skills would make them
of more value to their employer."
The provision of First Aid training to all members of staff is another indication
of the admirable commitment to ongoing training demonstrated by J V Price.
